Child support is a payment that is usually ordered to be paid from the non-custodial parent to the primary custodian to cover the basic needs of the child.

In New York, the New York Child Support Estimator (provided by the state government website) helps to determine the amount of child support according to the New York child support guidelines and based upon the personal data entered by the spouses.
The Child Support Estimator is updated periodically to reflect the current State and Federal income withholding levels.
